# Why does Jukin have exclusive rights to this content?

The original creator of the video entered into an agreement with Jukin Media and granted Jukin the exclusive rights to their content. A common misconception is that videos or other materials published on the Internet, including on social media platforms, are in the public domain and may be widely used by anyone without the authorization of the rights owner.

However, this is not the case. All video material, no matter who filmed it or how it was filmed, has a copyright that can be protected by the original rights holder, or by a company like Jukin Media that has obtained exclusive rights to the content.
