# Why did my payment come in as less than reported on my dashboard?

## Information on tax withholdings

According to U.S. tax laws, there is a certain amount of federal tax withholding that is deducted on payments made to specific countries. These are international tax treaties decided upon by the government which U.S. companies must abide by.

If your payment comes into your account as less than the total revenue that was reported on your Partner Dashboard, this is because a percentage of your revenue was withheld for tax purposes per your country’s specified rates. This percentage will be specified on your submitted W-8BEN tax form which you can find on the third "tax form" tab of your dashboard's "Payment Info" page.
